This Privacy Policy explains what information SaveThreads ("we", "us") processes when you use savethreads.com (the "Site"), why we process it and what choices you have. It is short because we collect as little as possible.

1. Summary

  • You do not need an account, and we never ask for your Threads or Instagram login.
  • We process the links you submit only to prepare your download. Prepared files are deleted automatically after a short time.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used, and Cloudflare to deliver and protect it.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information we process

Links you submit

When you paste a Threads link, we send it, together with your IP address, to our processing servers. They fetch the public post, prepare the video and photo files and give you temporary download links. Your IP address is used to deliver the files and to prevent abuse, such as automated bulk downloading. Prepared files are generally deleted within about two hours.

Contact form

If you send us a message, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, the link you include (if any), the language and page you used, and your IP address with an approximate location (city, region and country). To determine the approximate location, your IP address is looked up with a geolocation service (ip-api.com) when you open the contact page. Messages are delivered to our support team through a private Telegram group.

Analytics and delivery

We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure visits, pages viewed and similar usage statistics. The Site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to protect and speed up the Site, and which may collect privacy-friendly performance measurements without cookies.

Stored on your device

Your choice of light or dark theme is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.

3. Why we process it

We process this information to provide the download service you ask for, to answer your messages, to keep the Site secure and reliable, and to understand and improve how it is used. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

4. How long we keep it

  • Prepared download files: generally up to about two hours.
  • Security and server logs: for a limited period, only as long as needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Contact messages: as long as needed to handle your request.
  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings of Google Analytics.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site: our hosting providers, Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Google (Analytics), ip-api.com (approximate location on the contact page) and Telegram (delivery of contact messages to our team). These providers may process data outside your country. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

6. Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to its processing. To make a request, email us at the address below.

7. Children

The Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
